Interior House Painting for the Winter

Like the great bears of the wild, it is no secret that hibernation is a must when the temperature drops. And although hot chocolate and a warm fire sound intriguing, it is also a great time of the year to start on some interior house painting.

When dealing with smaller spaces, lean more towards lighter colors, such as summit grey, pewter green or casa blanca. This will give the allusion of the area seeming larger. Accent walls are another good trick to make a small space appear bigger.

Be particular in not only the color, but the sheen of the paint. Flat pain, although it gives a softer feel by not reflecting light, is not commonly a washable paint. As opposed to Eggshell paint, which is washable, but reflects light. Neither is necessarily better than the other. It’s all a matter of preference.
