Warranty
Limited Warranty Coverage
The House Painters™ provides a limited warranty for the duration specified in the individual project contract, beginning on the date of project completion. The warranty period, coverage scope, and any additional terms are unique to each contract and apply only to the work and surfaces listed therein. This warranty does not apply to staining or stain-related projects. Warranty coverage is limited to peeling, blistering, or chipping paint resulting from defective workmanship.
For warranty purposes, the project completion date is the date on which all contracted work is finished and a final invoice is issued, regardless of whether the client is present for a final walk-through.
Warranty Eligibility
To qualify for warranty service, the client must:
Pay the full contract amount as agreed. Payment in full is a strict requirement for warranty coverage. Any unpaid balances, withheld payments, payment disputes, or credit card chargebacks — regardless of the amount or reason — will void this warranty in its entirety. This includes any partial payments still owed after project completion.
Retain a copy of the original contract and proof of full payment.
Provide all materials and sundries for warranty repairs at the client’s expense. All paint, primers, caulks, sundries, and other materials must be purchased through The House Painters™ at full retail price. Warranty coverage applies to labor only unless otherwise stated in the contract.
Provide reasonable access to the property for warranty repairs.
Report warranty claims in writing within 30 days of discovering an issue. Failure to do so may void warranty coverage.
Maintain the painted surfaces in a reasonable manner, including prompt cleaning of mildew, debris, and stains; re-caulking as needed; and preventing standing water or plant growth against surfaces. Failure to maintain surfaces may void warranty coverage.
Warranty service will not be scheduled or performed until the full contract amount is paid in full. Warranty coverage cannot be used as grounds to delay or withhold final payment.
Additional Conditions
The House Painters™ reserves the right to decline or void warranty coverage in situations where the client’s actions, conduct, or communications are deemed unreasonable, abusive, or obstructive to the warranty process. This includes, but is not limited to:
Harassment, threats, or unprofessional conduct toward The House Painters™ staff, subcontractors, or representatives.
Repeated or excessive warranty requests unrelated to covered defects.
Failure to allow reasonable scheduling or site access for inspections or repairs.
Failure to pay the full contract balance on time, initiating a chargeback, or withholding payment for reasons unrelated to covered warranty defects.
Warranty requests determined to be outside the scope of coverage may be subject to a reasonable inspection fee, payable prior to any non-covered work being performed.
Exclusions: What This Warranty Does Not Cover

Scope of Warranty Repairs
Warranty service is limited to one (1) repair visit per covered issue. Any repeat occurrences or additional requests for the same area will be treated as a new service and billed at current rates.
Repairs will be limited to specific areas where peeling, blistering, or chipping occurs.
Repairs will match the original surface preparation level as stated in the contract.
Warranty repairs are strictly limited to correcting the specific covered defect identified in the approved claim. No additional work will be performed unless separately quoted and approved in writing.
Warranty repairs do not extend the original warranty period stated in the contract.
All warranty claims must include photo documentation of the issue at the time it was first discovered, prior to any alterations, cleaning, or attempted repairs by the client.
Warranty Scope – Touch-Ups Only
This warranty is strictly limited to localized touch-up repairs for covered workmanship issues such as peeling, blistering, or chipping paint. All warranty work will be performed only on the specific affected areas identified in the approved claim. The House Painters™ will not recoat or repaint entire surfaces, walls, ceilings, trim sections, or substrates unless required by law or explicitly stated in the client’s original contract.
Warranty touch-up work will be blended into the surrounding area to the best of our professional ability; however, slight variations in color, sheen, or texture may be visible due to natural aging, environmental exposure, and original application methods. These variations are considered normal within industry standards and do not constitute a defect.
Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser listed on the contract, even if the property is sold or transferred.
No-Warranty Projects
The House Painters™ reserves the right to exclude warranty coverage for certain projects based on substrate condition, client history, or project scope. Any such exclusions will be documented in the contract prior to project start.
