Treehouse Masters

We recently had the privilege of working on what we think is the coolest job yet… a treehouse! This wasn’t just any ordinary treehouse, it’s Brian Kelley’s (half of Florida Georgia Line) treehouse and it was part of a TV series called Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet.

The show stars Pete Nelson, America’s top treehouse builder. Nelson has written a book about different treehouses around the world, has his own treehouse-building business, and owns a treehouse hotel. It’s safe to say this guy knows what his passion is. Nelson and his contractors travel around the country to build luxury “arboreal architecture” for well-heeled families and design buffs alike.

Nelson’s true love of treehouses and the view of nature that they provide have given Animal Planet its highest ratings for a series debut since 2011. Nelson himself bounces around with excitement and energy when he starts imagining a customized treehouse to fit in a particular space. You can see the creative wheels turning in his head and it’s a delightful viewing experience.

We had a blast using our wood staining skills to help make the treehouse all it could be. Every member of the team was great to work with and we really enjoyed our behind the scenes experience.
