Germantown is a small yet vibrant community in the mid-south. Germantown has been traditionally known as a blue-collar neighborhood inhabited by generations of families that remain loyal to the area. With its many eclectic shops and homes, the area is undergoing a transition as it attracts a younger, innovative crowd to move to the neighborhood.

Germantown offers plenty of restaurant and nightlife options from which to choose for residents. The restaurant is surrounded by wild decor and colorful decorations, and it is hard to miss. Steadfast Coffee Restaurant

While they do everything in their power to roast and serve the best coffee possible, coffee itself isn’t the core of their company. It’s their guests. Their menus are reinvented every season and refreshed multiple times in between. Breakfast and lunch are available from 7 am until 6 pm, with dinner available. Additionally, Alton Brown says that the Atlas from Steadfast is one of the best coffee drinks he’s ever had.



5th & Taylor Restaurant

5th & Taylor is Chef Daniel Lindley’s homage to the American family meal. Inspired by Sunday dinners from his childhood, the menu features familiar yet refined expressions of traditional fare meant to foster a sense of community among guests. The spacious dining area is decorated with dramatic art, the menu describes dishes by their ingredients, rather than by cooking technique.

Butcher Town Hall Restaurant

Butchertown Hall is the brainchild of Holland House Bar and refuge and the Pharmacy owner Terry Raley. As Germantown’s neighborhood joint, Butchertown Hall restaurant offer guests warm hospitality in a gorgeous setting. The offerings consist of German and Mexican-inspired dishes, with many of the menu elements seeing time on the kitchen’s large Argentine wood-fired grill. Butchertown Hall is always open, seven days a week, for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

City House Restaurant

City House is a modest well-frequented bar and restaurant that’s been named amongst the best restaurants in Nashville. It’s yet another in the long list of places proudly promoting a seasonal menu focused on the Italian-accented Southern flare.
